SOAX vs Decodo in 2026: Mobile Proxy Pricing, Credits and Sessions

SOAX and Decodo both offer mobile proxy pools, but their current public pricing needs different calculations. SOAX’s pricing page uses prepaid credits and geographic tiers; Decodo lists traffic plans and pay-as-you-go mobile pricing. Compare the required exit country, actual traffic and minimum commitment before choosing.

Check before choosing a plan

  • SOAX’s current pricing page and its mobile landing page show different trial messages; confirm the current account offer.
  • A country-specific cost comparison is more useful than comparing each vendor’s lowest headline rate.
  • This is a documentation comparison published by Coronium, which sells a competing mobile service; no head-to-head benchmark was performed.

Read SOAX’s current credit model

The SOAX pricing page, checked October 11, 2026, lists Sandbox with no subscription fee and no included credits. Usage requires purchased credits. Its Tier 1 Sandbox rate is $5/GB; Builder is $200/month plus VAT with 200 included credits and a Tier 1 rate of $3/GB. The exit country determines the geographic tier, with the United States given as a Tier 1 example.

That makes the selected country a cost input. The provider groups residential and mobile under the same rate structure on this page. Confirm the account’s applicable plan, credit terms and country tier before entering a budget.

Do not calculate every job using an enterprise “from” rate. A small pilot can have a higher unit rate but lower total commitment than a subscription whose included credits the project will not use.

Decodo’s mobile pricing page displayed pay-as-you-go traffic at $4/GB plus VAT and a discounted 2 GB monthly plan at $7.50 plus VAT during this review. Its lower headline rate is attached to a different tier. Promotional prices and recurring terms should be checked at checkout.

For an illustrative 5 GB job using the listed US/Tier 1 SOAX Sandbox rate, the arithmetic is $25 before tax, compared with $20 at Decodo’s displayed mobile pay-as-you-go rate. This calculation uses listed rates; it does not include a provider performance test. Confirm availability, billable traffic and the account offer.

A larger commitment can change the result. Use the actual total bill and traffic consumed, then include the effort required to obtain acceptable results. One service can be cheaper per gigabyte and more expensive per completed job if the workload differs.

Resolve the conflicting SOAX trial descriptions

The SOAX mobile landing page still advertises a three-day, 400 MB trial for $1.99. The current pricing page describes Sandbox and says it includes no free usage. Those are different offers; this comparison does not silently combine them.

Before testing, inspect the current checkout and account terms or obtain a written clarification through the provider’s support channel. Save the selected plan and price for the pilot record. An older trial description is not a basis for promising that every new account can purchase it today.

Apply the same discipline to discount banners at any provider. Record the billing period and renewal condition alongside the introductory amount. A comparison without those inputs can look precise while using the wrong commitment.

Verify the session behavior your application needs

The two vendors’ mobile product pages describe rotating and sticky behavior. Decodo’s mobile page also documents HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 support. SOAX’s page describes session controls with availability conditions. A requested sticky duration should not be treated as an ownership guarantee or proof that a carrier address can never change.

For a multi-step workflow, measure whether its sequence completes using the expected route and what happens after a connection interruption. For independent data requests, check whether the selected rotation behavior is actually useful to the task. Avoid forcing every request to rotate when the application depends on session continuity.

Use the Playwright session guide for browser contexts and the Requests authentication guide for HTTP clients. A provider comparison cannot fix a client that ignores the intended proxy settings.

Compare managed data tools separately from raw proxy access

Decodo’s MCP integration uses its scraping infrastructure. If an AI workflow needs a managed fetch or extraction tool, evaluate that product’s credentials, output and charges separately from the mobile proxy plan.

If the worker runs its own browser, then protocol support, request routing and session isolation are the immediate requirements. Keep the model’s prompt separate from network credentials and destination controls. Define a request limit so retries or an agent loop cannot consume an open-ended traffic budget.

For either approach, store the source URL and retrieval time with the accepted result. Measure the cost of the usable data returned, including failed attempts and verification work. Do not compare a managed JSON response with a raw downloaded page as if they represented the same service.

Choose after a small, reproducible pilot

Write the acceptance criteria before buying: required country, permitted target, session duration, timeout, expected data and maximum cost. Use the same sample and request budget for both candidates. Keep vendor marketing statistics separate from your measurements.

Record accepted results, connection failures, destination responses and transferred bytes. Include failed work in the operational report instead of reporting only the fastest successful requests. An aggregate success rate without a defined target and denominator cannot decide your workload.

Coronium’s mobile provider guide covers the wider choice between pool access and dedicated connections. If dedicated mobile is the real requirement, use that comparison explicitly rather than treating either pool as an equivalent allocation.

Sources and review scope

Sources reviewed October 11, 2026. Coronium publishes this comparison and sells a competing mobile proxy service. Vendor documentation and public prices were checked on October 11, 2026. We did not run a cross-provider performance benchmark. Prices, availability and account terms require verification at purchase.
