Mobile Proxies for Google
Google estimates where you are from several signals, the IP among them. A carrier line in the right country makes local checks and account sign-ins consistent.
Lines in stock today in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil and Poland start at $7 for 24 hours and $97 for 30 days, per dedicated line.

What Google checks
Short answer
Use a line in the right country for hand-run checks of what local mobile searchers see, and as the steady connection a Google account signs in from. Do not point rank-tracking scripts at Google Search through lines: Google’s own help page lists that as automated traffic. For rankings at scale, use Search Console and licensed data.
Google explains its location and security logic in its help centers more fully than most companies. In our words:
Rank checking is automated traffic
Google’s help page on the unusual traffic message lists software that sends searches to see how a site ranks as automated traffic, and says shared networks such as VPNs can trigger the message for everyone on them.

Location comes from several sources
Google estimates location from precise device location, the home and work addresses saved in your account, past activity, and the IP address of your connection. The bottom of the results page says which one it used.

The IP gives a general area
IP addresses are roughly based on geography. Google always estimates a general area larger than 3 square kilometres with at least 1,000 users, for relevant results and to spot unusual activity such as a sign-in from a new city.

Device location is cached
To answer fast, google.com may reuse your device’s last location, stored in a cookie that expires after 6 hours.

Sensitive actions need history
Google can block some sensitive actions for 7 days when the device, phone number, security key or passkey has been on the account for less than 7 days.

Business Profiles need a real place
Virtual offices are not eligible for a Business Profile, a co-working office needs signage, staff and customer hours, and each location gets one profile, in one account or across several.

Local search checks, done by hand
SEO teams, local businesses and agencies need to know what a person in another city or country sees for a search. Google decides that from a mix of signals, and the IP is the one you can set without touching a device: Google’s location help page says it estimates a general area from the IP when nothing more precise is available.
So a clean, logged-out browser profile on a line in the target country shows roughly what a local mobile searcher sees. Roughly matters: Google’s general areas cover at least 3 square kilometres, and carrier addresses are often placed at the level of a region or city rather than a street. For a particular neighbourhood, add the place to the query, as Google itself suggests.
Read the bottom of the results page. Google states whether it used your device, your past activity or your internet address. If it says internet address, the line is doing the work. If it says device, your browser shared its location and the line is not the deciding signal.
Keep it manual. A person checking a handful of queries is ordinary use; a script cycling through thousands is the automated traffic described on Google’s unusual traffic page, and it meets CAPTCHAs whatever IP it uses. For ranking data at scale, use Search Console for your own sites and a licensed data provider for the rest.
Accounts, Maps and Business Profiles
For Google accounts, a line is about consistency. Google uses the estimated area to spot unusual activity such as a sign-in from a new city, so an account that signs in from the same country, carrier and region every day has nothing unusual to explain.
New things take time on a Google account. Google may hold back sensitive actions for 7 days when the device or phone number is new to the account. Plan for that week when you set up someone’s access, rather than fighting it.
Business Profile work has firmer rules. The Business Profile guidelines exclude virtual offices, require staffed co-working offices to have signage and customer hours, and allow one profile per location. A line in the business’s country is fine for managing a real profile from elsewhere; it does not make an ineligible address eligible.

Recommended setup for Google
Separate browser profiles for accounts and for checks. Never one profile for both.
Decide the job
Account sign-ins and logged-out checks need different profiles, and usually different lines.
Pick the country
The account owner’s country for accounts; the target market for checks.
Create the browser profile
Match time zone and language to the country. For checks, block location access in the browser so the IP is the signal Google falls back to.
Attach the line
Copy the Connection IP, SOCKS5 Port or HTTP Port, Username and Password from Your Proxies into the profile.
Confirm what Google sees
Run one search and read the location note at the bottom of the results. Then run the WebRTC leak test once.
Pace it like a person
A handful of queries with pauses. If a CAPTCHA appears, stop for the session rather than rotating through it.
Symptoms, causes and fixes
Google tells you more than most sites about why it reacts. Read the page before you change anything.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Our systems have detected unusual traffic” | Automated searches from your connection, or from others on a shared network such as a VPN. | Stop the script and slow down. For rankings, switch to Search Console or licensed data. |
| Results show the wrong city | Google used device location, saved places or past activity instead of the IP. | Read the results footer, block browser location in the profile and stay logged out. |
| “Sensitive action blocked” | The device or phone number has been on the account for less than 7 days. | Wait out the 7 days, or verify with an older device or a security key. |
| Repeated “Verify it’s you” prompts | Sign-ins from new places or devices. | Keep one line and one profile per account, and keep recovery options current. |
| Business Profile suspended | A guideline issue, such as an ineligible address. | Fix the profile against Google’s guidelines and request reinstatement. A new IP changes nothing. |
| Maps results look slightly off | Region-level IP location versus a specific neighbourhood. | Add the neighbourhood to the query, as Google suggests. |

What a proxy cannot fix
A line sets one of Google’s signals. The rest are yours or Google’s.
Rank tracking at scale
Google lists rank-checking software as automated traffic. A different IP does not change that; Search Console and licensed data do the job properly.
Street-level location
A line gives a country and usually a region, not a street. Add the place to the query for local packs.
New-device waiting periods
New devices and numbers wait 7 days for some sensitive actions, whatever the network.
Business eligibility
Virtual offices stay ineligible for Business Profiles on any IP.
Ad approvals
Policy reviews follow the advertiser account, not the connection.
CAPTCHAs from heavy use
Fast, repetitive queries are challenged on any IP. Slow down instead.
Google proxy questions
Can I use proxies to track Google rankings?
Google’s unusual traffic help page lists software that sends searches to find rankings as automated traffic. Use a line for hand-run spot checks, and Search Console or licensed data for rankings at scale.
Does a proxy change my location on Google?
It changes the IP signal. Google estimates location from device location, saved places, past activity and the IP, and the results footer says which it used. Block browser location and stay logged out so the IP decides.
How precise is IP-based location on Google?
Google works with general areas of at least 3 square kilometres and at least 1,000 users. For a particular neighbourhood, add the place to your query.
Will a mobile line stop Google asking me to verify my account?
It helps by keeping sign-ins in one place. New devices and phone numbers still wait 7 days before some sensitive actions, whatever the network.
How much does a Google proxy cost?
Lines in stock today in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Brazil and Poland start at $7 for 24 hours and $97 for 30 days, per dedicated line. One line per account, plus 24-hour lines for spot checks in other markets.
Which country should the line be in?
The market you want to see for checks, or the account owner’s own country for sign-ins.
