Mobile Proxies for Etsy Shops

Etsy lets one person run several shops, each in its own account. A dedicated carrier line per shop keeps every sign-in steady and separate.

Lines in stock today in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany start at $7 for 24 hours and $97 for 30 days, per dedicated line.

What Etsy checks at sign-in

Short answer

Give each shop one dedicated line in the country where the shop and its bank account are registered, its own browser profile, and the same IP for the whole session. Etsy openly allows several shops per person, so the goal is clean, consistent sessions, not hiding that the shops are yours.

Etsy publishes more about this than most marketplaces. Here is what its help center and the US law it follows say, in our words, with the page each point comes from.

  • Several shops are allowed

Etsy says you are welcome to run multiple shops at once. Each shop needs its own Etsy account and its own email address, because one account holds one shop.

  • Every shop must be disclosed

If you run more than one shop, you have to list all of them in the Public Profile section of each account, and every account must follow the Seller Policy. A second shop may use the same card, bank account, taxpayer ID and address.

  • One browser, one sign-in

Etsy notes that most browsers will not keep you signed in to several Etsy accounts at once and suggests a different browser for each account. A separate antidetect profile per shop is the same idea with tidier storage.

  • A code on new browsers and devices

Two-factor authentication is required when you open a new shop. With it on, Etsy asks for a verification code when you sign in from a different browser or a new device, and again every 30 days.

  • Sign-in history shows where

Each account keeps a sign-in history with the time and place of its 10 most recent sign-ins. A shop that appears from a new country every day stands out, to you and to Etsy.

  • Identity checks for high-volume sellers

The US INFORM Consumers Act requires marketplaces to collect and verify bank, tax and contact details from sellers with 200 or more sales and $5,000 or more in gross revenue over 12 months, and to have them recertified at least once a year.

Identity first, the IP second

The Etsy checks that can stop a shop are about identity: who you are, which bank account gets paid, and which taxpayer ID and address the shop uses. No proxy changes any of that, and none should. If Etsy asks for an ID or a tax document, the answer is the document.

The network matters for something narrower: consistency. A shop that signs in from the same country, carrier and address range every day has a dull sign-in history, and dull is what you want. A shop that shows up from a hosting provider on Monday, hotel Wi-Fi on Tuesday and another continent on Wednesday gives Etsy’s security systems a reason to ask for a code, or to look closer.

That is the job a dedicated mobile line does well. It is one physical device with its own SIM, rented to one customer, so the address history on it is yours alone. Each shop gets an ordinary carrier connection in its own country, the same one every session.

Running several shops is not the risk. Running several shops from one browser with mixed cookies is: it makes two shops look like one person trying to hide a link that Etsy already expects you to disclose.

Shop work and research need different lines

Signed-in shop work and market research want opposite things from a connection. Shop work wants the same IP for hours. Research wants a polite pace and the freedom to change IP between batches. Keep them on different lines, or at the very least in different browser profiles.

Research traffic does not belong in the profile that holds a shop’s session. If a script gets a challenge page, you do not want your shop’s sign-in to be the one Etsy is now looking at. Where Etsy’s Open API covers the data you need, use it first: its limits are set per application and API key, and exceeding them returns a 429 with a retry-after header whatever IP you send from.

Recommended setup for Etsy shops

One shop, one line, one browser profile. Set it up once, then leave it alone.

  1. Pick the shop’s country

Buy a line in the country where the shop and its payout account are registered. If that country is out of stock, wait for stock rather than borrowing a neighbouring country for signed-in work.

  2. Make one browser profile per shop

Use a separate browser or an antidetect profile for each shop, as Etsy itself suggests, with the time zone and language of the shop’s country. The antidetect browser setup guide covers the common tools.

  3. Attach the line to that profile only

Copy the Connection IP, the SOCKS5 Port or HTTP Port, the Username and the Password from Your Proxies into the profile’s proxy settings. Never reuse one shop’s line in another shop’s profile.

  4. Check before you sign in

Open the WebRTC leak test and the DNS leak test inside the profile. You should see the carrier IP and nothing from your home network.

  5. Sign in and keep two-factor with the owner

Keep each shop’s authenticator or phone with the person who owns the shop. Etsy lets one phone number or authenticator app verify several accounts you own.

  6. Leave the timer off

Shop sessions should not change IP. If you ever rotate, do it between sessions with the Reset Link, then sign in again.

Symptoms, causes and fixes

Most Etsy problems trace back to a session that changed under you, or two shops sharing something they should not.

  • Etsy asks for a code at every sign-in

Likely cause: The browser profile is new or its storage keeps getting cleared, so Etsy sees a different browser each time. A changing IP adds to it.

What to do: Keep one persistent profile per shop, stop clearing its cookies and keep the same line on it.

  • Signed out while editing listings

Likely cause: The IP changed mid-session: a rotation timer, a Reset Link someone opened, or a VPN switching servers.

What to do: Turn the timer off on shop lines and keep the Reset Link out of chat apps, whose previews open it.

  • Prices or search results look like another country

Likely cause: Etsy is reading a location you did not intend: a WebRTC leak, a saved currency setting, or a line in a different country.

What to do: Run the leak tests, check the line’s country in the dashboard and clear the profile’s Etsy cookies once.

  • Two shops flagged at the same time

Likely cause: Shared cookies, a shared browser profile or the same line across both shops.

What to do: Separate them fully, and make sure both shops are listed in each Public Profile as Etsy asks.

  • A verification request you cannot clear

Likely cause: An identity, tax or bank check. The network plays no part in it.

What to do: Answer it with the documents Etsy asks for. Do not open a new account to get around it.

  • Pages load slowly or time out

Likely cause: Weak signal at the device or a busy cell in that area.

What to do: Rotate once between sessions. If the line stays slow, replace it from the dashboard, up to 2 times in a rolling 24 hours.

What three shops cost

A worked example from today’s catalog: three shops in the first country on this page with a 30-day line in stock.

Each shop gets its own line. Etsy’s listing fees, transaction fees and Etsy Ads are separate and paid to Etsy. If you are setting up your first shop, a single 24-hour line is a low-cost way to check that the browser profile and two-factor setup work before you commit to 30 days.

Worked out from the live catalog when this page was built. Data on dedicated lines is not metered, so the price does not change with traffic. Orders of 10 or more lines get 10% off and 25 or more get 15% off, as a code on request from hello@coronium.io. Carriers and regions for this country are on the United States mobile proxies page.

What a proxy cannot fix

A carrier IP removes one source of friction. Everything else is still yours to get right.

  • Identity and tax checks

Verification is decided by your documents, bank account and taxpayer ID. A line has no effect on it.

  • Policy problems

Prohibited items, intellectual property reports and case outcomes follow the shop, whatever network it signs in from.

  • A suspended account

Etsy’s route back is its appeal process. Opening a new account from a new IP to get around a suspension is not something we help with.

  • Shared fingerprints

If two shops share a browser fingerprint or cookies, a separate IP does not separate them.

  • API quotas

Listing tools built on the Open API are limited per application and API key, so more IPs do not raise the limit.

  • Sales

A line changes how Etsy sees your connection. It does not change search placement, reviews or conversion.

Etsy proxy questions

Is it allowed to run more than one Etsy shop?

Yes. Etsy’s help center says you are welcome to run multiple shops, each in its own account with its own email address, and asks you to list all your shops in the Public Profile of each account. Every account has to follow Etsy’s Seller Policy.

Does each Etsy shop need its own proxy?

For signed-in work, yes. One dedicated line per shop keeps each shop’s sign-in history separate and steady. Two shops on one IP is not forbidden, but if they also share a browser profile they look like one person, which defeats the point of separate accounts.

Which country should the line be in?

The country where the shop and its payout account are registered. For buyer-side checks, use a line in the buyer’s country and stay signed out.

Should the IP rotate for Etsy?

Not during shop work. Keep the rotation timer off and change the IP only between sessions, if at all. Rotation suits research lines, where a timer of 60 seconds or more, or a call to the rotation link, changes the IP between batches.

How much does an Etsy proxy setup cost?

Lines in stock today in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany start at $7 for 24 hours and $97 for 30 days, per dedicated line. Each shop needs its own line, so three shops cost three times the per-line price. The worked example on this page uses today’s catalog.

Will a mobile proxy stop Etsy asking me to verify my identity?

No. Identity verification uses your documents, bank and tax details, and US law requires marketplaces to verify high-volume sellers. A steady connection only cuts the security prompts caused by sign-ins from new places.
