Decodo (Smartproxy) vs Coronium: Mobile Proxy Plans and Costs in 2026

Decodo is the current name of Smartproxy. Compare its mobile proxy pool with Coroniumโ€™s dedicated mobile offering using the same workload, country and billing period. Decodo is a sensible candidate when you need a metered pool across many locations; a dedicated endpoint is worth evaluating when you need ongoing control of a particular connection. Neither model guarantees destination access.

Check before choosing a plan

  • Smartproxy officially became Decodo on April 22, 2025; this existing comparison URL stays unchanged.
  • Compare mobile with mobile before comparing prices. Decodo also sells residential, ISP and datacenter products.
  • Use listed prices as a dated quote, and measure cost per useful result in your own authorized pilot.

Is Smartproxy now Decodo?

Yes. Decodoโ€™s official rebrand page dates the release of its new identity to April 22, 2025. Use the current vendor site when checking products and account documentation. A similar-looking domain using the old name is not evidence of affiliation.

This comparison keeps the established Smartproxy URL so existing links continue to work, while using Decodo in the title and product discussion. Our previous version compared Decodoโ€™s residential pool with Coroniumโ€™s mobile service too broadly. The comparison below starts with the mobile products and identifies the billing model explicitly.

Coronium publishes this article and sells one of the services discussed. It is a review of current vendor documentation, not an independent performance ranking or a controlled head-to-head benchmark.

Decodoโ€™s mobile product page describes a mobile pool with rotating and sticky sessions, location targeting, and HTTP(S)/SOCKS5 connectivity. Coroniumโ€™s dedicated mobile page describes dedicated device-based service with connection and rotation control.

A sticky pool session and an allocated device answer different requirements. Ask what stays assigned to you, what happens when the upstream connection drops, and whether the public address can change. A device allocation does not by itself prove that a carrier never shares an address upstream.

Write down the feature your application actually needs. An approved data-collection job may value fresh routes across several countries; another authorized workflow may need a stable session while a sequence completes. Measure those outcomes instead of assuming that the more expensive product is automatically better.

Read the current mobile price with its commitment

The Decodo mobile pricing page displayed a discounted 2 GB monthly plan at $7.50 plus VAT and pay-as-you-go traffic at $4/GB plus VAT when reviewed. Its headline โ€œfrom $2.25/GBโ€ is a different tier, not the entry-plan rate. The page shows promotional and crossed-out prices, so confirm the checkout and renewal terms.

For Coronium, use the current quote for the required location and duration. Public navigation prices and an endpoint selected in the ordering system may describe different products or periods. Do not convert an advertised starting price into a universal rate for every country.

Model your workload in its own units. With an illustrative $60 monthly endpoint quote and a $4/GB metered rate, the arithmetic crossing point is 15 GB. The $60 figure is a hypothetical input, not a Coronium quote. Taxes, plan minimums, unused traffic, concurrency and successful-result yield can all change the practical choice.

For broader cost comparisons, use the mobile provider buying guide. Its purpose is to compare commitments and total costs, not to award a universal cheapest-provider badge.

Run a session test before migrating a workflow

Create a small acceptance test that mirrors the intended job. Check authentication, the observed network route, expected session duration and recovery after a reconnect. Use a permitted destination you control where possible, then a modest authorized target-specific pilot.

Record timestamps and results without exposing credentials. Test both a valid and an invalid password so a silently direct connection cannot look like success. For browser work, verify the route inside the browser context, not only in a separate command-line request.

Our Playwright guide covers context boundaries and session continuity. The Requests guide explains proxy authentication and environment precedence. These client examples are separate from any claim about a vendorโ€™s live performance.

Do not interpret a low CAPTCHA count in a short run as proof of undetectability. A destination can change its rules, and account or application errors can persist regardless of the selected proxy.

Choose between a proxy endpoint and a managed AI data tool

Decodoโ€™s MCP server page documents an integration with its scraping infrastructure and Scraper API credentials. It should not be priced or configured as if it were simply the mobile proxy credentials used by a browser.

If your AI worker controls its own HTTP client or browser, check which process sends the request and where its proxy settings live. If it calls a managed scraping tool, evaluate that toolโ€™s request charges, output format and permitted use. A mobile endpoint alone does not supply parsing, a search API or an agent runtime.

Keep destination content separate from the workerโ€™s configuration authority. Web text should not change credentials, destinations or account permissions. Record the tool used, the source URL and retrieval time so a generated answer can be checked later.

Choose from the requirements your pilot verifies

Shortlist Decodo when a metered mobile pool and its available targeting fit the job. Shortlist Coronium when the dedicated connection model and the quoted location meet your operating requirements. Either choice needs a pilot; neither receives a speed or success-rate award in this article.

Before switching, inventory endpoint formats, authentication, rotation controls, billing alerts and any integration-specific settings. Move a small workload, compare its accepted results and error handling, and keep a working rollback configuration until the new route is verified.

If the requirement is a residential or datacenter product, reopen that comparison explicitly. Selecting a cheaper address category is a change of product, not proof that one vendor undercut an equivalent mobile service.

Sources and review scope

Sources reviewed October 11, 2026. Coronium publishes this comparison and sells a competing mobile proxy service. Vendor documentation and public prices were checked on October 11, 2026. We did not run a cross-provider performance benchmark. Prices, availability and account terms require verification at purchase.

Where to get a dedicated line

A Coronium mobile proxy is one physical device with its own SIM, rented to one customer. It connects over HTTP or SOCKS5, the IP changes by dashboard button, API link or timer, and data is not metered on dedicated lines. Stock and prices differ by country and carrier.
